SYZYGY partners with Panoptic Productions
SYZYGY New Music has recently partnered with NYC based company, Panoptic Productions, and will be working with its production team on forthcoming scoring projects.
SYZYGY wins Copland Fund Grant
In 2011 SYZYGY NEW MUSIC was awarded a Performing Ensembles grant by the Aaron Copland Fund for Music. Officially awarded to “performing organizations whose artistic excellence encourages and improves public knowledge and appreciation of serious contemporary American music” (The Aaron Copland Fund for Music), other 2011 recipients included the English National Opera, the New York Philharmonic, the Chamber Music Society at Lincoln Center and the New York City Ballet.
SYZYGY and Danielle Eva Schwob win Con Edison Musician's Residency
In 2011 SYZYGY's Artistic Director, Danielle Eva Schwob, was awarded a Musician's Residency through Con Edison and Exploring the Metropolis in order to pursue collaborative work between the ensemble and her rock band. New arrangements of her music will be presented on May 25th at The Flea Theater and on June 15th at The Church Street School for Music and Art.
